His personal staff of orthopedic nurses, technicians, and physician assistants, as well as his clerical and administrative staff, share his commitment to personalized care and take pride in getting to know each patient individually. Staff members are available to address patient needs, including scheduling, insurance, billing, and other medical services. Patients and their family members are encouraged to ask questions and offer suggestions. Bloodless SurgeryDoctor Harwin is also skilled at performing complex procedures without blood transfusions. He has served as Surgical Director of the New York Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery from 1999-2005.Patients come to Doctor Harwin from around the world to be treated for complex problems of the hip, knee, and shoulder without the need for blood transfusion.
